Eight fire engines and 60 firefighters deployed to Seven Sisters Road blaze in Islington

London Fire Brigade deployed eight fire engines and about 60 firefighters to a mixed‑use building on Seven Sisters Road in Finsbury Park, Islington, after the first emergency call arrived at 03:36 am on 29 July 2026. Firefighters battle blaze on mixed‑use building

Control officers dispatched crews from Holloway, Stoke Newington, Kentish Town, Islington and surrounding stations. Fire chiefs reported that half of the roof was engulfed in flames, prompting a coordinated effort to contain the fire and protect adjoining properties. The brigade continued to monitor the situation throughout the night, rotating crews as needed.
