Breach of Injunction

Council Response
Councillor Alessandro Georgiou, leader of Enfield Council, stated that car cruising, illegal racing, and stunt driving are not harmless. He said such activities blight neighbourhoods, disturb residents, and put innocent people at risk. Cllr Georgiou added that those who treat roads as racetracks show no regard for others' safety and will not be tolerated.
The injunction prohibits a range of activities associated with car cruising, including racing, dangerous driving, vehicle stunts, excessive revving, and behaviour causing nuisance, alarm, or distress. Enfield Council secured the injunction to tackle dangerous car cruising and vehicle-related antisocial behaviour that can cause distress, excessive noise, and put road users and pedestrians at risk.
Cllr Georgiou affirmed the council's commitment to working with the Metropolitan Police to enforce the injunction, pursue offenders, and take strong action against those who disregard the rules. He emphasised that residents deserve safe streets and peaceful neighbourhoods, with confidence that action will be taken against those causing nuisance and danger.
Mr Sartauskas's legal costs are to be paid in monthly instalments of £500.
