Feltham teenager stabbed to death in High Street revenge attack
Malaki Sharma, 18, died after being stabbed near the armpit during a feud between rival youth groups in January 2026
Incident → evidence → outcomeAn 18-year-old was fatally stabbed in Feltham High Street in January after a feud between two groups of youths escalated into violence. Malaki Sharma died from a single stab wound near his left armpit during an attack on 11 January 2026, the Old Bailey heard.
Prosecutor Catherine Farrelly KC told the court the incident was the culmination of a series of events that began the previous day. On 10 January, one of the defendants and his brother were assaulted in the same street by members of a rival group. The attack was filmed and shared on social media.
Revenge attack planned after social media humiliation
Farrelly said the social media posts added to the humiliation of the assault. The defendants, all 16 and wearing masks and hoods, set out to seek revenge. The prosecution alleges they planned to inflict serious harm, including the use of knives, on those involved in the earlier attack.
The group returned to Feltham High Street on 11 January, where they encountered Sharma and another member of the rival group. Farrelly told the court that both sides unleashed armed violence in the busy street, witnessed by members of the public.
During the attack, one of the defendants stabbed Sharma near his left armpit. The wound partially severed an important artery, causing Sharma to collapse and die shortly afterwards. The defendant accused of the stabbing is charged with murder, while all three face charges of conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm.
Defendants deny charges
The three defendants, who cannot be named for legal reasons, have denied all charges. The trial at the Old Bailey is expected to continue in the coming weeks. The court has not yet heard evidence from the defence.
The Metropolitan Police confirmed the incident but declined to comment further while the trial is ongoing. A spokesperson said the force is committed to reducing knife crime and violence in the capital.
