Katie Price receives 'devastating news' amid mother's illness
The reality star shared a cryptic Instagram post about cherishing loved ones.
Reality television personality Katie Price announced on Instagram that she had received "devastating news" on the evening of 15 May 2024. The 48-year-old former glamour model shared a message with her followers about the importance of health and family, urging them to "cherish every moment with loved ones and build memories."
Price clarified that the announcement was not related to her mother, Amy, who is suffering from a terminal lung condition. Her mother, aged 74, has been diagnosed with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. Earlier in May, Price had testified at the trial of her ex-husband, Kieran Hayler. Hayler, 39, was subsequently acquitted of rape and sexual assault charges relating to an alleged incident in 2016.
In September, Price also announced the end of her marriage to businessman Lee Andrews. The couple had married in Dubai earlier in the year. Reports at the time suggested Price intended to divorce Andrews after discovering alleged fabrications about his personal and financial history. Andrews, who had been detained in Dubai, denied misleading Price, stating that she had misread financial figures.
