Khloe Simmonds jailed for seven years for false rape claims

Khloe Simmonds, 26, has been sentenced to seven and a half years in prison after admitting to eight counts of perverting the course of justice. Harrow Crown Court heard on 7 September that Simmonds made repeated false claims of sexual assault between July 2018 and January 2026. Her actions diverted significant police resources and led to innocent individuals being subjected to investigations.

Fabricated Accounts and Police Investigations

Over a seven-year period, Simmonds spent hundreds of hours with police officers fabricating accounts of serious sexual violence, presenting herself as a victim. His Honour Judge John Lodge stated that this was a sustained pattern of conduct, not isolated incidents, and that Simmonds' actions diverted resources away from genuine victims of serious crime. At the height of her offending, Simmonds was responsible for 2.5 per cent of all rape and serious sexual assault allegations in Harrow.

Several men accused by Simmonds were arrested and detained before being released. In one instance, a man spent 88 days under police investigation. Another allegation involved a chef Simmonds met on Grindr, whom she accused of rape after he left her flat. The chef described the arrest as 'humiliating' and stated he spent 20 hours at the police station. In a separate incident, Simmonds claimed a taxi driver had raped her, but vehicle data later proved this allegation to be false, leading to her arrest.

Defence and Sentencing

Dominic Benthall, defending, informed the court that Simmonds had been diagnosed with autism, ADHD, and had longstanding issues with alcohol dependency, suggesting an underlying mental health difficulty at the time of the offences. Simmonds had previously pleaded guilty to eight counts of intending to pervert the course of public justice.
