Four stabbed in Bromley, Edgware school locked down in September

Bromley High Street Stabbings

Four men sustained stab wounds after police were called to an altercation on Bromley High Street at approximately 2:15pm on September 10. Three of the injured were taken to hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening. The fourth man was in a critical condition. Seven men were arrested at the scene, and a large cordon was established, affecting High Street and Ethelbert Road while investigations took place.

Brixton Churchyard Rape Report

A police cordon was set up outside St Matthew's Church in Brixton following a report from a woman who stated she had been raped in the churchyard. The incident was reported to police at around 12:55am on September 17. Specialist officers were providing support to the woman as enquiries commenced. No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

Edgware School Lockdown

Menorah Grammar School in Edgware was placed on lockdown on September 16 after police received reports of a man seen walking along Edgwarebury Lane carrying what appeared to be a rifle. Staff and pupils were instructed to remain inside the school premises while officers responded. The item was later identified as an imitation firearm, and the lockdown was lifted with no ongoing public threat reported.

Kenton Lane Pursuit and Gunshot Reports

An investigation was launched after police received reports of a car pursuit in the Kenton Lane area, followed by claims of possible gunshots and a collision. A 30-year-old driver involved was found to be uninjured. Police stated that no evidence of a firearm being discharged was found. No arrests were made, and additional neighbourhood patrols were conducted in the vicinity.

Organised Crime Crackdown and Officer Injury

The month concluded with a major police operation on September 29, involving over 800 officers who raided 24 properties across London and four other counties. Seventeen individuals were arrested as part of an investigation into a suspected organised crime group. During the execution of a warrant at an address in Cockfosters, Barnet, a police officer was stabbed in the leg and required hospital treatment. The operation involved the Metropolitan Police, HMRC, and the Financial Conduct Authority, targeting suspected money laundering, conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm, and tax evasion.
