A reward of up to £20,000 is being offered for information that could help solve the disappearance of Nazire Koreli, who has been missing from Welling since September 2024. Ms Koreli, 56, was reported missing to the Metropolitan Police in February 2025.

Investigation Details

In the period since Ms Koreli's disappearance, officers have conducted searches of her home, reviewed hundreds of hours of CCTV footage, and carried out specialist searches in water near Danson Park. Detective Chief Inspector Wayne Jolley, leading the investigation, stated that Ms Koreli's family continue to experience the distress of not knowing what has happened to her. He added that the investigation remains active and all available lines of inquiry are being pursued. Ms Koreli had numerous friends and acquaintances in the Bexley area. Police are appealing for anyone who knew her or may have seen her between September 2024 and February 2025 to contact them with any information.

Arrest and Ongoing Enquiries

In March 2025, a man in his 50s was arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with Ms Koreli's disappearance. He was subsequently released on bail, and enquiries are continuing. Crimestoppers is offering the reward for a period of three months. Alexa Loukas, Regional Manager for London at Crimestoppers, said that Nazire's family have spent two years without answers and that the charity believes someone may possess the key information investigators require.
