The ticket scam is not the only instance of fraud Riley has faced recently. She also reported being a victim of a fake US visa scam. Riley, who travels to New York annually and renews her travel authorisation every two years, encountered a fraudulent website that closely resembled the official ESTA application portal. She did not receive the expected confirmation and instead received a suspicious email that alerted her to the scam. This experience has left her concerned about her personal details being compromised.
Adding to her distress, Riley has been targeted by a cruel AI hoax that has generated and shared fake images of her appearing pregnant. These fabricated images, some showing her holding an infant or a sonogram, have circulated online despite her past struggles with fertility, including four failed IVF attempts. Riley publicly condemned the fake pregnancy photos, calling them "absolutely horrendous" and expressing her deep upset and frustration at the spread of such lies.
Reflecting on these multiple incidents, Riley appealed for the scams and hoaxes to cease, stating, "I just think... please leave me alone."
