A 25-year-old bus driver was pronounced dead at the scene after a shooting on Willington Road in Clapham on the evening of 10 August. The Metropolitan Police confirmed the victim’s identity as Auguste-Marie Bile-aka Amoa, a resident of Lambeth.

Officers and London Ambulance Service crews arrived at 21:57hrs following reports of gunshots. Despite efforts to save him, Bile-aka Amoa was declared dead at the scene. A post-mortem examination is expected to take place in the coming days.

Arrest made the following day

A 22-year-old man presented at a hospital with a gunshot wound shortly after the incident. He was arrested on 11 August on suspicion of murder and remains in hospital under police guard. The Metropolitan Police have not released his name.

Detective Chief Inspector Claire Guiver, who is leading the investigation, said the force is working urgently to establish the full circumstances. She appealed directly to the public for assistance.
