Liam Hebblewhite banned from every Sainsbury’s, Waitrose and Boots in England
Met Police secure criminal behaviour order after thefts in Camden and Islington stores
Incident → evidence → outcomeA man with no fixed address has been banned from every Sainsbury’s, Waitrose and Boots store in England and Wales after a series of thefts in central London. Liam Hebblewhite, 25, was subject to a criminal behaviour order issued by Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court last month.
The order prohibits Hebblewhite from entering any of the three retail chains across England and Wales. It also bars him from remaining in a store after being asked to leave by staff and from running away from police officers, whether in uniform or plain clothes.
Thefts in Camden and Islington
The Metropolitan Police said Hebblewhite targeted stores on High Holborn, Farringdon Road and Pentonville Road between 19 February and 26 June 2026. The thefts included alcohol, meat, laundry products and chewing gum, with one incident resulting in a loss of £400 in a single day.
This is the second criminal behaviour order issued against Hebblewhite. A previous order in September 2025 banned him from all Sainsbury’s stores nationwide. The new order extends the ban to Waitrose and Boots and imposes additional restrictions.
Geographic restrictions
The order also prohibits Hebblewhite from entering the entirety of Holborn and Covent Garden wards in Camden. These areas cover much of the central London retail district where the thefts occurred.
“His persistent offending had a significant impact on businesses, resulting in financial losses and causing considerable distress to store staff.”
What happens next
Hebblewhite is now subject to the terms of the criminal behaviour order. Breaching the order could result in further criminal charges. The Metropolitan Police have not stated whether additional enforcement measures will be taken.
