Police surrounded a van on The Drive in Edgware on Monday afternoon, October 19. A significant police presence was noted around the vehicle, with officers observed taking photographs of it.
A witness reported seeing officers use a crowbar to try and gain access to the van, targeting its rear and side. Video footage obtained by London Now appeared to show an officer bending part of the van, and damage to the rear of the vehicle was visible.
The incident attracted the attention of passers-by who stopped to observe the scene. The Metropolitan Police have been contacted for comment regarding the reason for their actions, but this information has not yet been provided.
