Four men have died in separate incidents across London in the first week of September. Investigations are ongoing into a murder in Clapham, a stabbing in Islington, a suspected dog attack in Canning Town, and a fall from a balcony in Barking.
A woman was sexually assaulted on a District line train as it arrived at Barking station in the early hours of Sunday, August 2. British Transport Police are seeking information and have released an image of a man they believe may be able to assist their investigation.

A 28-year-old man from Barking died after a motorcycle crash on Aspen Way near Preston's Road at 3:25am on 5 August. Police are investigating and have asked for witnesses. A fundraiser has been launched to cover funeral costs and support motorcycle safety charities.

Sunny Islam, jailed in 2012 for rapes and assaults in East London, will have his parole reviewed in private. A victim requested a public hearing, but the Parole Board ruled against it, citing Islam’s reported anxiety. His minimum 11-year term expired in 2021.
