Four deaths reported across London in early September

Four men have died in separate incidents across London during the first week of September, with police investigations underway for each case. The incidents include a murder in Clapham, a stabbing in Islington, a suspected dog attack in Canning Town, and a fall from a balcony in Barking.

Clapham Murder Investigation

Detectives are investigating the murder of Thomas Carey, who died on the Oaklands Estate in Clapham. Police believe the attack occurred at Couchman House between September 3 and September 4. Officers are working to establish Mr Carey's movements in the days leading up to his death and are appealing for anyone with relevant CCTV, doorbell camera, mobile phone, or dashcam footage from the area to come forward.

Islington Stabbing

In Islington, a man was found with stab wounds in Packington Street. Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at approximately 2:10am on September 6. The victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries, and detectives are continuing their investigation into the circumstances of the attack.

Canning Town Incident

Emergency services were called to the junction of Durham Road and Star Lane in Canning Town at around 7:27pm on September 8 following reports of a medical emergency. A man in his 70s died at the scene. Police stated the man may have been bitten by a dog before suffering a cardiac arrest. Paramedics attempted to save the man but he was pronounced dead.

Barking Balcony Fall

A man, believed to be in his 20s, died after falling from a balcony on Gurdwara Way in Barking. Police were called to the address around 3pm on September 7 due to concerns for his welfare. The man fell from height before officers arrived. An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident is ongoing.

Police investigations are continuing across all four incidents. Officers are appealing for witnesses and information from the public. Families affected by these tragedies are awaiting further information as inquiries proceed.
