Man found unconscious with head injuries in Purley
Metropolitan Police are investigating the incident on Brighton Road and appealing for witnesses.
A man in his 50s was discovered unconscious with head injuries on Brighton Road in Purley on the evening of October 21. Emergency services were alerted to the incident at approximately 10:50 pm following the discovery of the man.
Paramedics attended the scene and transported the man to hospital for treatment. His injuries have since been assessed as non-life-threatening and not life-changing. Police have confirmed they are treating the incident as an assault.
Investigation Underway
Officers from the Metropolitan Police are conducting enquiries, including reviewing CCTV footage and speaking to potential witnesses, in an effort to identify the person responsible. As of October 22, no arrests have been made in connection with the assault.
