Drug gangs are increasingly using a tactic known as 'cuckooing', taking over the homes of vulnerable individuals in London to use as bases for drug dealing. This practice, identified by community safety teams in 2005, has evolved significantly over the past three decades.
Ealing police have charged one man with drug supply offences and made several arrests during a three-day operation focused on cuckooing and drug dealing hotspots. The initiative also saw a Community Protection Notice issued.
Shyeem Chisholm, 26, has been sentenced to five years and seven months in prison for his involvement in a drug dealing operation. He admitted to being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine, heroin, and cannabis.
