A 17-year-old boy has pleaded not guilty to the murder of 15-year-old Brayan David Saldarriaga, who was stabbed in Hackney on 25 May 2025. His co-defendant, Conneil Mvudi, 18, will enter a plea at a later hearing. The trial is scheduled for 1 March 2027.

Four men from London were jailed after a construction worker suffered broken legs and an arm in a violent attack in Hackney in September 2025. Police recovered a loaded handgun and swords from their car three days later in Wolverhampton. Sentences ranged from nearly six to seven years.

A teenager was stabbed outside Clapton Overground station in Hackney on 9 August 2026 and walked two miles to St James Street, Walthamstow, where police and paramedics treated him. No arrests have been made, and officers are continuing their investigation.
