Charlie Stefano, 33, of Dagenham, was sentenced at Maidstone Crown Court for intentional strangulation and actual bodily harm. The attack on 13 February involved kicking, dragging, and phone destruction. Kent Police responded after the victim fled to a Chatham petrol station.

Gerard Parkinson, 64, was sentenced to 28 years in prison with an additional five on licence after a violent hammer and knife attack on two women in Swanley on 1 March 2023. One victim suffered a punctured lung. Police described Parkinson as a dangerous individual.

A 29-year-old man from Edgware has been sentenced to nine years and 10 months for causing the death of an 89-year-old pedestrian in Kent. Albert Matraxhiu hit Thomas Wallace at 76.5mph, carried his body on the car roof, then fled the scene. A passenger was also jailed for perverting the course of justice.
