Westminster City Council's new waste depot at Mandela Way is now projected to cost £13.5 million, more than double the initial £6.6 million estimate. The increase is due to unforeseen subsurface issues requiring substantial foundation and drainage work. The depot will support 40 new electric refuse vehicles.

Tower Hamlets Council has spent £2.3 million on consulting fees for the South Dock Bridge, now estimated to cost £25 million. The project, delayed since 2017, may not proceed despite 96% resident support in a 2018 consultation. Developers and residents paid extra for the crossing, which remains unbuilt.
