An Ilford couple have been convicted of manslaughter after drugging two men with gamma-butyrolactone (GBL), leading to their deaths. Gary Mouat, 37, and Malcolm King, 80, died after being poisoned during arranged meetings. The nine-year-old son of one victim told the court the killers had 'ruined my life'.

A 29-year-old man from Edgware has been sentenced to nine years and 10 months for causing the death of an 89-year-old pedestrian in Kent. Albert Matraxhiu hit Thomas Wallace at 76.5mph, carried his body on the car roof, then fled the scene. A passenger was also jailed for perverting the course of justice.
