A man was kicked and punched during an attempted phone robbery at Woolwich Dockyard station on Thursday, July 30. The incident occurred shortly before 5:30 pm when a woman approached the victim and attempted to steal his mobile phone.

The victim managed to board a train, but was followed by the same woman along with two other individuals. Once on board, the group attacked the man again, attempting to take his phone for a second time, but were unsuccessful. British Transport Police have launched an investigation into the assault and attempted theft.

CCTV Appeal

Detectives have released CCTV images of three people they believe may have information relevant to the investigation. The first individual is described as a Black woman wearing a black-and-white striped t-shirt, blue patterned trousers, sliders, and carrying a briefcase. The second person is a Black woman with a white head covering and a burgundy skirt. The third individual is a Black man wearing a grey flatcap, a green t-shirt, a necklace, and carrying a dotted-blue trolley bag.
