Woman assaulted on Elizabeth line train
British Transport Police are seeking a woman pictured in connection with an unprovoked attack on a train from Heathrow.
Incident → evidence → outcomeBritish Transport Police are investigating an assault that took place on an Elizabeth line train. The incident occurred at around 10pm on Sunday, August 2. A woman was travelling from Heathrow Airport when she boarded the train and sat next to another passenger.
Without any apparent provocation, the second woman began to punch and kick the victim. Following the assault, the assailant exited the train at Southall railway station.
Appeal for information
Detectives have now released an image of a woman they believe may hold information that could assist their investigation. They are appealing to the public for help in identifying her.
Anyone who recognises the woman in the image, or who witnessed the assault, is asked to contact British Transport Police. This can be done by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 702 of August 2. Information can also be provided anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
