16-year-old stabbed in Hackney found injured in Walthamstow

A 16-year-old boy was found with multiple stab wounds on St James Street, Walthamstow, shortly before midnight on 9 August 2026. The Metropolitan Police said he had been attacked outside Clapton Station in Hackney before making his way to Waltham Forest. Emergency services treated him at the scene before taking him to a major trauma centre.

The London Ambulance Service confirmed they were called at 11:59 pm on 9 August. A spokesperson said paramedics treated the patient at the scene before transporting him as a priority. The boy’s injuries were later assessed as neither life-threatening nor life-changing, according to the Metropolitan Police.
