19-year-old e-bike rider dies in Eltham crash

The Directorate of Professional Standards within the Metropolitan Police has been informed. A mandatory referral has been made to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC), which has confirmed it has been informed and is investigating the circumstances.
Witness appeal issued
Detective Inspector Glen Mera appealed for witnesses to come forward. He stated that the police are continuing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the collision. DI Mera added that any information provided could be vital to the investigation. Anyone who was in the Eltham Hill area at the time of the incident, or who may possess doorbell or dashcam footage, is asked to contact police on 101, quoting reference 5340/28SEP.
