Bermondsey man charged with murder after stabbing victim dies

Initial Charges and Bail
Officers were called to reports of a disturbance at the Lucey Way address shortly before 1am on August 2. Upon arrival, they found Mr Hardinges with stab wounds. He received treatment at the scene before being taken to hospital. Mr Riordan was arrested at the scene and initially faced a charge of grievous bodily harm with intent. He appeared at Croydon Magistrates' Court on August 3 and was granted bail, with a condition to appear at Inner London Crown Court on September 1.
Murder Charge
Mr Riordan was arrested again on August 29, the same day Mr Hardinges died in hospital, for an alleged breach of his court bail conditions. He was remanded into custody. Subsequently, Mr Riordan has been charged with murder. He is scheduled to appear at Croydon Magistrates' Court on October 9.
