Boy, 14, injured in Croydon park assault

A 14-year-old boy was taken to hospital after being assaulted at Coulsdon Memorial Recreation Ground in Croydon. The Metropolitan Police were alerted to the incident on Marlpit Lane just before 6pm on Saturday, September 30.

Officers and paramedics attended the scene and found the boy, who had been assaulted. He was taken to hospital for treatment and has since been discharged. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing, a spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police confirmed.
