A 16-year-old girl was sexually assaulted on an Elizabeth line train after being followed by a man from a bus near Abbey Wood station. The incident took place on Wednesday 8 July at approximately 12:40 PM.

British Transport Police said the suspect boarded the same bus as the victim and remained near her throughout the journey. He followed her off the bus at Abbey Wood station and onto a train bound for Tottenham Court Road.

Assault at Tottenham Court Road

When the train arrived at Tottenham Court Road station, the victim left the carriage. The suspect followed her, approached, and sexually assaulted her before fleeing the scene, police said.

Detectives released a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to in connection with the assault. They believe he may have information that could assist the investigation, as reported by the *Evening Standard*.
