Cyclist, 24, dies in North Kensington moped hit-and-run

A 24-year-old cyclist has died after a suspected hit-and-run collision involving a moped on North Pole Road in North Kensington. Police were alerted to the incident at approximately 1:20 am on Friday. Officers found the man with serious injuries, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

CCTV footage indicates the collision occurred around 1:14 am. The cyclist was riding an e-bike at the time of the incident. The driver of the moped involved in the crash did not remain at the scene. A police cordon was established on North Pole Road while officers conducted their investigation.

Police Appeal for Information

Detective Chief Inspector Phil Wilkins of Hammersmith and Fulham CID stated that the investigation is ongoing. "Our thoughts are with the man’s family at what is a very difficult time," DCI Wilkins said. "We have launched a full investigation and are working hard to get answers and trace the moped driver."

Officers are urging anyone who was in the North Kensington area between approximately 1:14 am and 1:20 am on Friday, and who may have seen either the e-bike or the moped, to come forward. Information can be provided to the police by calling 101, quoting reference 414/25SEP26.
