The offence took place on 18 March last year. Oyedeji had arranged to meet the victim at their home in Southwark, where the Porsche was listed for sale online at £72,000. “The victim showed immense courage by refusing to hand over his keys despite being threatened with what appeared to be a genuine firearm.”
Detective Constable Alex Long, who led the investigation, commended the victim’s bravery. He stated that the support of the victim, combined with the diligent gathering of CCTV, digital, and forensic evidence, built a strong case leading to Oyedeji’s conviction.
