Human remains found at Bedfont Lakes Country Park

A woman's skull and human remains were discovered last month at Bedfont Lakes Country Park in Feltham. The discovery was made after wildfires swept through the park. Police have launched a murder investigation.

The park is located approximately half a mile from a former family home of Levi Bellfield. Bellfield is currently serving a life sentence for multiple murders, including those of Marsha McDonnell, Amelie Delagrange, and Milly Dowler, and the attempted murder of Kate Sheedy.

Speculation regarding a link to Levi Bellfield

Chris Clark, a former police intelligence officer and crime author, has suggested the location could be linked to Bellfield. Mr Clark told The Mirror that he believes the area might be a "cluster site" used by serial killers to remember where victims are buried. He also suggested that Bellfield could be connected to other unsolved disappearances in west London.

The Metropolitan Police commented on the speculation, stating: "As far as we are aware any link with Levi Bellfield is purely speculative at this stage." Bellfield has spent a significant portion of his life in west London, including areas such as Hounslow, Hanworth, and Feltham, where he also worked.

Ongoing investigation

Forensic officers remain at the scene in Bedfont Lakes Country Park. DNA testing is currently underway as part of the ongoing investigation.
