Man, 25, shot dead in Clapham North as suspect arrested in hospital

A 25-year-old man died after being shot on Willington Road in Clapham North on the evening of 10 August 2026. Emergency services pronounced him dead at the scene shortly before 22:00. The Metropolitan Police confirmed his family has been informed and is receiving support from specialist officers.

A second man, aged 22, was taken to hospital with a gunshot wound after the incident. Police arrested him on suspicion of murder while he was receiving treatment. The severity of his injuries has not been disclosed.
