Man arrested after fight on Essex Road, Islington
Police responded to CCTV reports of a disturbance near Packington Street in the early hours of Saturday.

CCTV operators alerted the Metropolitan Police to the disturbance at approximately 00:55hrs on Saturday, September 25. The road was cordoned off for part of the morning following the incident.
Police response and arrest
Officers were dispatched to the junction of Packington Street and Essex Road, N1, after CCTV operators reported a fight. By the time police arrived, the group involved had dispersed. However, further inquiries and information from CCTV operators led officers to a 19-year-old man.
The man was taken into custody on suspicion of affray and possession of an offensive weapon. He was subsequently taken to hospital for treatment to injuries sustained during the incident. A spokesperson for the Met confirmed these injuries were assessed as neither life-threatening nor life-changing.
