Man arrested after stabbing incident on Limpsfield Road

Metropolitan Police officers responded to reports of a stabbing on Limpsfield Road in Sanderstead at approximately 11.20pm on Wednesday 29 July. The incident occurred near a petrol station in South Croydon, resulting in a 53-year-old man being treated for multiple stab wounds, according to the Croydon Guardian.

Paramedics attended the scene to locate the victim and provide immediate medical assistance. The man was subsequently transported to a hospital for further treatment. Medical staff later confirmed that his injuries were neither life-threatening nor life-changing.

Police investigation and arrest

When officers first arrived at the Limpsfield Road location, the suspects had already fled the area. Following an investigation, police arrested a 25-year-old man on suspicion of grievous bodily harm. As reported by the Croydon Guardian, this individual has since been released on bail pending further enquiries by the Metropolitan Police.
