Arrest in East London
On Monday, August 31, a 38-year-old man was detained in East London in connection with the incident. He remains in custody. British Transport Police (BTP) confirmed the arrest was made on suspicion of attempted murder.
Detective Superintendent Sam Blackburn of BTP described the arrest as a key step in the ongoing investigation, which is progressing rapidly. He stated that based on current inquiries, police are not looking for any other individuals in connection with the attack. The victim and his family are receiving support from specialist officers.

Officers are still appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information to come forward. They are particularly interested in hearing from individuals who were on the Central Line platforms between 10.30pm and 11pm on Sunday.
