Man dies, another critical after Enfield crash
A 32-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of driving offences following the collision.

The Metropolitan Police were called to the scene following reports of a crash involving a car and a pedestrian. Emergency services attended and treated several individuals before they were taken to hospital. The 48-year-old man, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was pronounced dead.
A second passenger, aged 31, continues to receive treatment and is in a life-threatening condition. A 32-year-old woman was arrested the day after the crash on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and driving with a specified controlled drug above the prescribed limit. She was further arrested for failing to stop and has since been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Detective Inspector Simon Ager, from the Serious Collisions Investigation Unit, stated that their thoughts are with the deceased man's family. He appealed for anyone who witnessed the collision or has any CCTV, doorbell, or dashcam footage from the area at the time to come forward.
