Man in 40s shot dead in Newham car, no arrests made
Detective Chief Inspector Dan Whitten leads murder inquiry after fatal shooting on St Bartholomew’s Road
A man in his 40s was found with gunshot wounds inside a vehicle on St Bartholomew’s Road, Newham, in the early hours of 18 August 2026. He was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency services shortly after police were called at around 03:00.
