Officers from the Metropolitan Police attended Berriman Road at approximately 7.50am on Sunday. They were joined by the London Ambulance Service and discovered a man in his 40s and the woman suffering from stab wounds. Both individuals received treatment at the scene before being transported to hospital. The London Ambulance Service stated that its crews arrived within five minutes of being called to the junction of Berriman Road and Isledon Road.
The injuries sustained by both parties were subsequently assessed as non-life-threatening and non-life-changing. Following initial treatment and assessment, both individuals were arrested. The man was arrested on suspicion of affray and possessing an offensive weapon in a public place. The woman, along with the man, was also arrested on suspicion of affray.
