The Metropolitan Police were called to Seven Sisters Road at 22:40hrs on Wednesday, August 26. Paramedics from the London Ambulance Service treated the victim at the scene before he was taken to a major trauma centre.
A trauma team from London’s Air Ambulance also attended the incident. The London Ambulance Service confirmed they were called to reports of an assault and arrived at the scene in under five minutes. The victim was taken to hospital as a priority.
Road Closure and Appeal for Information
Seven Sisters Road in Islington has been closed since the evening of August 26 to allow police to conduct initial enquiries. The one-way section is closed from Holloway Road to Hertslet Road. Several bus routes, including the 4, 29, 153, 253, and 259, are being diverted.
Officers are working to establish the circumstances of the assault. The Metropolitan Police are appealing for anyone with relevant information, particularly dashcam or doorbell footage from the area, to come forward. They have asked for witnesses to quote reference number 7982/26AUG when contacting them on 101. No arrests have been made at this time.
