Man in hospital with life-threatening injuries after Vauxhall attack

A man is in hospital with injuries described as potentially life-threatening after an assault in Vauxhall. Police were called to Bondway at approximately 3.15am on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, following reports of an attack. Officers attending the scene found a man in his 20s with head injuries.

The victim was taken by the London Ambulance Service to hospital, where he remains. The incident took place near Vauxhall Bus Station.

Arrest and Investigation

A 25-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of grievous bodily harm. He has since been bailed pending further investigation, according to a Metropolitan Police spokesperson.
