Officers arriving at the location found a man suffering from head injuries. He was transported to a hospital for medical treatment. The London Ambulance Service had been alerted to reports of an assault at 12:00 PM and reached the scene within seven minutes. A trauma team from London’s Air Ambulance was also dispatched to the incident.
Arrests Made
Following the incident, two individuals were apprehended nearby. An 18-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy were arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm. The police investigation into the circumstances of the fight is ongoing.
Road Closures
The westbound section of Kensington High Street was closed to traffic from late morning. The closure extended up to the junction with Kensington Church Street, where the police investigation was centred. This led to traffic congestion reported towards Queen’s Gate, near the Royal Albert Hall.
