A 40-year-old man, Levi Davidson, has been named by police as the victim of a fatal shooting in Acton. Mr Davidson died on Braybrook Street on October 2, after multiple shots were fired at approximately 7:45pm. The Metropolitan Police have launched a murder investigation.

The incident took place during a memorial service attended by between 40 and 50 people. Some of those present were children. Detective Chief Inspector Brian Howie, who is leading the investigation, stated that the event, intended for remembrance, resulted in a family's devastation.

Police appeal for information

As of the evening of October 3, no arrests had been made. Detective Chief Inspector Howie urged anyone with information to come forward, stating that "someone knows what happened". Investigators are seeking to speak with anyone who was in the vicinity of Erconwald Street, Braybrook Street, surrounding roads, or the Wormwood Scrubs playground between 6pm and 8pm on the day of the shooting.

Officers are particularly interested in any sightings of individuals carrying or concealing weapons, suspicious activity by cyclists, or vehicles travelling at speed. They are also appealing for any photographic, video, dashcam, doorbell, or mobile phone footage that may be relevant, no matter how insignificant it may seem.

Crime scene images showed a large cordon in place, covering several roads, the park, and the Old Oak Community Centre. Forensics officers were observed collecting evidence from the pavement and shrubbery.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting CAD 7011/2Oct, or to use the major incident portal. Anonymous reports can be made to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
