Man sought after sexual assault on train to London Bridge

British Transport Police are seeking to identify a man after a woman was sexually assaulted on a Southeastern train. The incident occurred on the evening of Saturday, September 23, on a service travelling from Charing Cross towards London Bridge.

According to British Transport Police, the assault took place at around 10pm. A man boarded the train at Charing Cross station and sat next to the woman, who was travelling alone in the carriage. Other seats were available at the time. The man then allegedly sexually assaulted her.

Appeal for information

Detectives have released an image of a man they believe may have information that could assist their investigation. Anyone who recognises the individual is asked to contact British Transport Police. This can be done by texting the reference number 856 of 23 September to 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40. Information can also be provided anonymously to Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111.
