Man stabbed on Plaistow Road; attacker still sought

A man in his 20s was taken to hospital after sustaining stab wounds in Plaistow on October 8. Emergency services were called to Plaistow Road at around 11:15 am following reports of the attack. The Metropolitan Police confirmed the victim's injuries are not life-threatening or life-changing.

Resources including an ambulance crew, a paramedic in a fast response car, an incident response officer, and a crew from London’s Air Ambulance attended the scene. The victim was treated before being transported to a major trauma centre by the London Ambulance Service.

Investigation ongoing

No arrests have been made in connection with the stabbing. The Metropolitan Police are continuing their enquiries and are asking for witnesses to come forward to assist with the investigation. Information can be provided by calling 101, quoting reference 2408/08OCT.

Plaistow Road was temporarily closed in both directions following the incident, causing traffic disruption and bus diversions. The road reopened before 2 pm on October 8.
