Masum Miah named by police after fatal shooting in East Ham car
Officers were called to reports of gunshots in St Bartholomew's Road in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

Officers were alerted to reports of gunshots in the area at approximately 03:00 BST on Tuesday. Mr Miah was discovered wounded inside a vehicle. Paramedics attempted to save him, but he was pronounced dead at the location. The Metropolitan Police confirmed that his next of kin are receiving support from specialist officers.

Detective Chief Inspector Dan Whitten stated that the investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made. He urged anyone who was in the vicinity at the time of the incident, witnessed any suspicious activity, or possesses relevant dashcam, CCTV, or doorbell footage to come forward and assist the inquiry.
