Murder investigation launched after human remains found in Feltham woodland
Police are working to identify the victim and establish the circumstances surrounding her death.
A murder investigation is underway after human remains were found in woodland in Feltham. Metropolitan Police were alerted on Wednesday, 12 August, at approximately 6:35 PM, after reports of bones being discovered in the wooded area next to Padstow Walk.
Investigation Details
Following examinations, the discovered remains have been confirmed as human. Preliminary assessments suggest the remains belong to a woman who was approximately between 25 and 45 years of age. Efforts are ongoing to formally identify the victim. It remains unclear how long the remains have been at the location.
A postmortem examination took place on Monday, 17 August, after which a murder investigation was officially launched. Detective Chief Inspector Wayne Jolley, who is leading the inquiry, stated that his team is working to establish the full circumstances of the incident and is keeping an open mind.
“I would urge anyone who has information that may assist us in identifying the victim and understanding the circumstances of her death to come forward and speak to us.”
