Nazire Koreli: Bexley Police Appeal Two Years After Welling Woman Vanished

Ongoing Investigation and Searches
The Metropolitan Police's Specialist Crime Command has conducted extensive enquiries into Ms Koreli's disappearance. These investigations have included analysing CCTV footage and carrying out diver-led searches in water near Danson Park. Despite these efforts, her whereabouts remain unknown.
In connection with the investigation, a man in his 50s was arrested on March 10, 2025, on suspicion of Ms Koreli's murder. He has since been released on bail, and police enquiries are continuing. Detective Chief Inspector Wayne Jolley stated that the investigation remains active and the police are committed to pursuing all available lines of enquiry.
Ms Koreli is described as a woman of slim build, with light brown hair and olive skin. Detectives are urging anyone who may have seen her or has any information about her disappearance between September 2024 and February 2025 to come forward.
