Second crime scene found 0.1 miles from fatal Clapham North shooting

Police have sealed off a second crime scene on the Fenwick Estate in Clapham North, less than 200 metres from where a 25-year-old man was fatally shot. The discovery follows reports of gunshots on Willington Road at around 10 pm on 10 August. Officers remain at both locations as forensic teams examine the area.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene near the junction of Willington Road and Landor Road. A 22-year-old man, who arrived at hospital with a gunshot wound, was arrested on suspicion of murder. He remains in police custody while receiving medical treatment.

Estate access restricted as investigations continue

Residents on the Fenwick Estate have reported restricted access to parts of the estate, including some flats. Police cordons remain in place by Cottage Grove, though the Metropolitan Police have not confirmed whether the second scene is directly linked to the fatal shooting.

Forensic officers have been seen photographing blood spatters on pavements and placing evidence markers. The distance between the two scenes is approximately 0.1 miles, a short walk through the estate. Police presence has been described as significant since the initial reports of gunfire.
