Second man dies after Southgate crash
Two brothers, William and Patrick Cassidy, have died following a collision involving a car and a pedestrian in Enfield.

William and Patrick Cassidy have been named as the two men who died as a result of the crash. A 48-year-old man, identified as one of the brothers, was taken to hospital in a critical condition and died two days later on September 22. The second brother, aged 31, who was also taken to hospital with serious injuries, died on September 30.
Three other passengers travelling in the car sustained injuries that were assessed as neither life-threatening nor life-changing. The pedestrian involved in the collision, who is in his 30s, also suffered non-life threatening and non-life changing injuries.
Arrest and Appeal for Information
A 32-year-old woman was arrested on September 21 on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and driving with a specified controlled drug above the prescribed limit. She was subsequently further arrested for failing to stop. The woman has been bailed pending further enquiries. Police stated she is not related to any of the occupants of the vehicle.
Detective Inspector Simon Ager stated that the collision had now claimed two lives. He appealed for anyone who witnessed the incident or who has CCTV, doorbell, or dashcam footage from the area at the time of the collision to contact the police.
