Stella Gollovena charged with four counts of wounding after Covent Garden stabbings

A 47-year-old woman has been charged with wounding four men in a daytime stabbing on Endell Street, Covent Garden. The incident occurred at around 12.30pm on Wednesday, in an area frequented by tourists and shoppers.

Stella Gollovena, who has no fixed address, faces four counts of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. She was also charged with possession of an offensive weapon in a public place, the Metropolitan Police said.

Victims treated and discharged

The four men injured in the attack were aged 34, 39, 42 and 56. London Ambulance Service confirmed it treated all four at the scene before transporting them to a major trauma centre by road.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said the victims had been discharged from hospital. Their injuries were described as neither life-threatening nor life-changing.

Police response and next steps

Officers arrived at Endell Street shortly after the attack was reported. An air ambulance helicopter was initially dispatched but later stood down. The victims were taken to hospital by road instead.

Gollovena was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court later today. The Metropolitan Police confirmed the charges but provided no further details about the circumstances of the attack.
