A 16-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following a stabbing in Dagenham. The incident occurred on Porters Avenue on the evening of September 3. Metropolitan Police officers were called to the scene at 6.01pm after receiving reports of an altercation.

Victim's Injuries

Upon arrival, officers discovered a 16-year-old boy who had sustained stab injuries. The London Ambulance Service confirmed they were called at 6.05pm and sent an ambulance crew and a paramedic. The victim received treatment at the scene before being transported to hospital. His injuries have been assessed as neither life-threatening nor life-changing.

Arrest and Further Allegations

A second 16-year-old boy was apprehended at the location. He was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, affray, and possession of an offensive weapon. The arrested teenager remains in police custody. Enquiries into the incident are continuing.
