Police have issued an urgent appeal for the public's assistance in locating an eight-year-old boy named Shawn, who went missing during Notting Hill Carnival. Shawn became separated from his parents at the annual west London event.

Last Sighting and Description

Shawn was last seen on Wedlake Street, close to Kensal Road, at approximately 4.42pm on Monday, August 31. He is described as black, standing 3ft 8in tall. At the time he was last seen, he was wearing black shorts, a black top, and a hat.

Police Concern and Appeal

Commander Charmain Brenyah of the Metropolitan Police Service stated that officers are increasingly concerned for Shawn's welfare, particularly given his young age. She noted that Notting Hill Carnival is a very large and busy event. Extensive enquiries are currently underway to find Shawn and reunite him with his family as swiftly as possible. The public is asked to contact the police immediately if they have seen Shawn or possess any information regarding his whereabouts.
